Annual Function 2012
The Ramakrishna Vedanta Centre of Queensland is proud to announce the Organization's Annual Function for 2012
Date & Time: Saturday, 9th June 2012 6:00 pm sharp
Venue: St Aidan's Anglican Girls' School, 11 Ruthven Street Corinda, QLD
Queensland
Ticket: Family $40, Single $15
Tickets are avilable from any of the committee members
The celebration will be adorned by the presence of Swami Atmeshananda from Sydney. He will deliver a spiritual discourse on the occasion.
There will be devotional songs, instrumental music and classical dances.
A free vegetarian dinner will be served at the end of the function.
You are cordially invited to be present with your family and friends and spend the evening with the Swami and other devotees.

1. Morning Arati and Meditation: Everyday 7:00 - 7:30 am
2. Evening Vesper Service and Devotional songs:
Weekdays 7:00 pm, Weekends 6.30 pm

Held on the First Saturday of each Month unless otherwise noted:
1. Special Prayer & Evening Vespar Services
2. Satsang (Spiritual discourses, devotional songs and discussions) conducted by visiting Swami Atmeshananda

Duties of Host
The host is responsible for preparing rice and dhal and a vegetable if possible. Other devotees to bring cooked food for sharing. After the meal, the host is responsible for cleaning up the Ashram, other devotees will help the host to clean the Ashram/Kitchen.
Friends once again, it is encouraged that you too take this opportunity to come just once a month to the Ashram with your family and be in the company of Ramakrishna and foster your spiritual growth.

Procedure of Caring / Worshipping of the Sri Ramakrishna Statue at the Sri Ganesh Temple MACLEAN
Items Required:
New material (Dhoti) approximately 1 metre long,
2 new chucks (hand towels), 1- for sponging the statue and one for drying,
A new sponge,
A small quantity of oil for Jyoti,
Flowers, sweets, fruits,
Incense sticks (agarbati)
Water for washing to taken from the site.
Procedure:
Take off garlands and scruff and take it home. Wash the cotton material for next time. Soak the sponge in a mixture of oil and water. Wipe clean the statue of Thakurji and dry it with hand towels. Place new cloth around the statue. Place grarlands around the neck of statue. Place tilk at the forehead. Light the lamp and offer sweets and fruits.
Light the agarbati and offer your prayers by reciting the following mantras:
Om Aim Sarva Deva Devi Swaroopaaya Sri Ramakrishnaya Te Namaha
Meaning: I bow down to Sri Ramakrishna, who is the spiritual embodiment of all forms of the Divine
